plasma tv question?

Q) I have a flat screen fujitsu tv (pretty sure plasma). i accidentally left it on w/o anything on. now its messed up (burnt?) and i have to switch videos (video 1 to video 2) repeatedly until it works. It says here http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-burn-in-on-plasma-screens that JscreenFix can fix things like logos, does anyone know if this can work with a whole screen or if there is another way to have it fixed? Also, when it works, several vertical white lines cut through the screen. Thank You

A) That doesn't sound like BURN-IN if you have to repeatedly switch between Vid 1 and Vid 2 to get your picture....... That sounds like your video Switching IC isn't switching... Or it could be your Video Processor board isn't Processing the incoming Video... Or it could be a loose/broken CABLE..... QUICK CHECK :: When your TV is misbehaving, try to bring up the MENU....if it appears, it tells you the display and PART of your Video Processor is working. Any tech will try that 1st. Next, if you have MORE than one unit attached, (DVD, game, Satellite/Cable box) turn them ALL on, and try switching between all the choices. IF ONE doesn't give you the picture, but the others do.....You may have a bad cable or bad DVD, GAME or SAT box/connector. Lastly, if ALL work ok, but the problem still occurs after 20 minutes or longer....you could have a temperature sensitive IC in the TV that needs a TV repairman to fix.... Find the NEAREST Fujitsu Authorized TV repair Facility if that is the case.... The white lines that cut through the screen kinda indicate a bad cable or bad IC.......Wiggle the cables by picking up and shaking about 6 - 8 inches back and forth FAST...if the white lines appear, then Push all connections back in to make sure they are FULLY seated.....Don't DEATH-MASH THEM! That doesn't make it work any better...just seat them. Try the wiggle test again, AND place your hand about 4-5 inches away from the END Connectors and ROTATE the cable in a big circle....Most Broken cables fail ON THE ENDS....If they are bad, you will see the white flashes.... You replacing cables is cheaper than me coming out to your house and running these tests..... Good luck...hope it's a cable.....

Tv Problem?

Q) ok i just got a 10 year old Fujitsu plasma flat screen television i got everything hooked i hooked up my satelite i had to get a Nexxtech gold plated F-BNC adaptor for my video input while my sounds where normal. ok so now for my problem, the satelite vidoe isn't coming on but the sound works can someone help me tell me how i can fix this.

A) Very hard to guess this one hence no replies so far. You may have to call a TV Tech in. Cheers Pete
